What makes day and night ?
The Earth moves in two different ways. It rotates on its axis, and it also revolves around the Sun (this is called its orbit). It takes the Earth approximately twenty-four hours to rotate on its axis. This creates day and night, because the parts of the Earth that are far from the Sun will be in total darkness.
